Educators.lv User Agreement Please read this User Agreement (hereinafter – the “Agreement”) carefully before using the website www.educators.lv (hereinafter – the “Platform”) and the services provided through it (hereinafter – the “Service”). If you do not agree with all the terms of this Agreement, you are not allowed to use the Platform and/or the Service. 1. General Provisions 1.1. This Agreement governs the relationship between the owner of the Platform, Educators.lv Limited Liability Company, registered in the Republic of Latvia under Registration Number: 400050000 (hereinafter – “Educators.lv”), and any person accessing the Platform and/or using the Service (hereinafter – “User”). 1.2. By using the Platform and/or Service, the User confirms that they have read, understood, and unconditionally agree to comply with all the terms of this Agreement, as well as the Privacy Policy and any other rules and policies published or posted on the Platform. 1.3. Educators.lv provides an online platform that allows users (hereinafter – “Learners”) to find and interact with teachers (hereinafter – “Educators”) to obtain educational services. Educators.lv acts as an intermediary to facilitate connections between Learners and Educators. 1.4. Educators.lv does not provide educational services directly. All educational services are provided by Educators based on agreements made directly between the Learner and the Educator (hereinafter – “Educational Services Agreement”). Educators.lv is not a party to the Educational Services Agreement and is not responsible for the quality, content, or results of the educational services provided by Educators. 1.5. Educators.lv makes reasonable efforts to ensure the functionality of the Platform and Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, absence of errors, or complete security. 1.6. Educators.lv reserves the right to change, supplement, or remove the terms of this Agreement at any time, as well as to modify the functionality, content, and availability of the Platform and Service without prior notice to Users. Continued use of the Platform and/or Service after changes signifies the User’s acceptance of the updated terms of the Agreement. 2. Definitions Platform – the website www.educators.lv, including all its subdomains, pages, content, and functionality. Service – any services and functionalities provided by Educators.lv to Users via the Platform, including, but not limited to, the ability to search for Educators, post Requests for educational services, exchange messages between Learners and Educators, and other related services. User – any natural or legal person registered on the Platform or using the Platform and/or Service in any manner. Learner – a User registered on the Platform to search for and receive educational services from Educators. Educator – a User registered on the Platform to offer and provide educational services to Learners. Educational Services Agreement – any arrangement made between a Learner and an Educator regarding the educational services to be provided. Request – an educational service request published by a Learner on the Platform. Content – any text, visual, audio, and video materials, data, information, and other objects posted on the Platform by Users or Educators.lv. Profile – the User’s personal page on the Platform containing the information provided by the User. Password – a combination of characters, letters, and numbers chosen by the User, which together with the username provides identification on the Platform. Account – User credentials (username and password) used to access the Service. 3. Registration and User Account 3.1. To gain full access to the Service, a User must complete the registration process and create their Account. 3.2. During registration, the User undertakes to provide accurate, current, and complete information. The User is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided. 3.3. The User is responsible for keeping their credentials (username and password) confidential and for all actions performed using their Account. The User must immediately notify Educators.lv of any unauthorized access to their Account. 3.4. Users are not allowed to transfer, sell, or otherwise assign their Account to third parties. 3.5. Educators.lv reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend, or delete a User’s Account in case of violation of this Agreement, provision of false information, or for any other reason at its sole discretion. 4. User Rights and Responsibilities 4.1. Rights and Responsibilities of Learners: 4.1.1. Use the Service to search for Educators and post Requests for educational services. 4.1.2. Be responsible for selecting an Educator and agreeing on the terms of the Educational Services Agreement. 4.1.3. Fulfill obligations to the Educator in a timely and complete manner. 4.1.4. Use the Service in good faith and not attempt to bypass established rules and procedures. 4.1.5. Be responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. 4.1.6. Comply with ethical and moral standards when communicating with Educators and other Users. 4.2. Rights and Responsibilities of Educators: 4.2.1. Use the Service to offer their educational services and respond to Requests. 4.2.2. Be responsible for the content and quality of educational services in accordance with the Educational Services Agreement. 4.2.3. Provide accurate information regarding qualifications, experience, and service conditions. 4.2.4. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations. 4.2.5. Use the Service in good faith and not attempt to bypass rules, including attempts to provide services outside the Platform to avoid commissions. 4.2.6. Comply with ethical and moral standards when communicating with Learners and other Users. 4.2.7. Agree to the use of Profile information (photo, description) for Platform marketing and advertising purposes. 5. Interaction Between Learners and Educators 5.1. Educators.lv provides a platform for direct interaction between Learners and Educators. All terms of the Educational Services Agreement are agreed upon directly between the Learner and the Educator. 5.2. Educators.lv is not responsible for the fulfillment of obligations undertaken by Learners or Educators. 5.3. Educators.lv may provide tools to facilitate interaction but does not monitor or take responsibility for the content of communications. 5.4. Educators.lv may implement a review and rating system. The content of reviews remains the responsibility of the Users. 6. Educator Statuses 6.1. Educators.lv may assign Educators the statuses “Certified” and/or “Verified” based on the documents provided. 6.2. These statuses are indicators based on Educators.lv internal criteria and do not guarantee the quality of educational services. 7. Educational Service Requests 7.1. Learners may post Requests describing their needs. 7.2. Educators may view Requests and offer their services. 7.3. Educators.lv is not responsible for the content of Requests or offers, nor for the results of interactions. 8. Intellectual Property 8.1. All rights to the Platform, its design, software, content, logos, and trademarks belong to Educators.lv or its rights holders. 8.2. Users retain rights to the Content they post, granting Educators.lv a non-exclusive license to use it within the Platform. 8.3. Users warrant that their Content does not infringe the rights of third parties. 9. Limitation of Liability 9.1. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” 9.2. Educators.lv is not liable for direct or indirect damages. 9.3. Educators.lv is not responsible for the quality of educational services or the fulfillment of obligations by Learners. 9.4. Users are responsible for the Content they post. 10. Account Deletion 10.1. Users may delete their Account at any time. 10.2. Educators.lv reserves the right to immediately restrict access to the Platform in case of violation of the Agreement. 10.3. The administration may restrict an Educator’s access in case of negative reviews: 10.3.1. The first review is negative; 10.3.2. The share of negative reviews exceeds 20%. 10.4. Users agree not to use the Platform after restrictions are applied. 10.5. After deletion, information may be removed except where required by law. We may retain certain information after account deletion where necessary to investigate abuse, ensure user safety, or comply with legal obligations. 11. Links to Third-Party Resources 11.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party resources. Educators.lv is not responsible for their content or security. 12. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution 12.1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. 12.2. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Latvia. 13. User Moderation 13.1. All Users, including Learners and Educators, undergo moderation. 13.2. For Educators: Name, profile description, and avatar are checked (a personal photo with a clearly visible face is required, without logos, inscriptions, filters, violence, or discrimination). 13.3. For Learners: The username must be appropriate, without meaningless characters; it is recommended to use the real name. Avatar is not required to be a photo, but obscene, violent, discriminatory, or provocative content is not allowed. 13.4. The administration reserves the right to reject, edit, or delete profiles, descriptions, and avatars without prior notice if moderation rules are violated. 13.5. The purpose of moderation is to verify information accuracy, ensure User safety, and maintain content quality. 14. Final Provisions 14.1. If any provision of the Agreement is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. 14.2. Inaction by Educators.lv in case of User violation of the Agreement does not constitute a waiver of the right to take measures in the future. Please confirm your acceptance of this User Agreement by continuing to use the Platform and/or Service.
